                                         Abstract

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) have taken a important place in the emerging wireless communication technology. UAVs are defined as the vehicles which are moving without the human operator. These UAVs are used in many applications such as telecommunication base stations, agriculture, military services, drone delivery systems and aerial photography etc. The advantage of these devices are

  • On demand deployment

  • Autonomous

  • Fast response

  • Fully controllable mobility in 3D

  • Can enter any environment

So, in here the on demand deployment of UAV in wireless communication is discussed. It is basically considered about the UAVs which can use as base stations. While doing this, following challenges are occurred.

  • Positioning the UAVs

  • Reducing the interference

  • Planning the trajectory

Optimal Positioning and intelligent network slicing method can be used to reduce the interference of the UAV base station. According to that the expected outcome from that research would be jointly optimizing both optimal positioning and network slicing method to achieve higher overall positioning of UAV.

Introduction

As shown in the name Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are controlled without the human operation. Most common example is drone. The UAVs are commonly used in many applications such as telecommunication industry, military systems, transportation etc. So, UAVs have built with many different types. According to the altitude it has divided as two types. They are high altitude and low altitude. Up to 15m, high altitude UAVs are used. As well as rotary wings and fixed wings are another classification. The rotary wing UAV have advantages over fixed wing UAV as can move anywhere easily, can hover. So, in wireless communication, these UAVs are used as base stations. When consider an UAV as base station, the Fast response, high mobility, easily manage are going to be the advantages. According to these advantages of UAVs which are used for wireless communication the UAVs as base station is a very useful and essential technology. But existing UAVs have some problems while getting better output. They are low reliability, low security, interference in the channel, limited data rate, line of sight requirement, difficult to monitor and low power efficient. So, The basic issue, interference management is discussed in this paper.

OBJECTIVES AND MOTIVATION

Because of the massively increasing data demand of the users, the capacity should be high. For that the multiple UAVs are used in one place. While using the multiple unmanned aerial vehicles as base stations in one channel a high interference is occurred. Then the received signal to the user equipment will be damaged or lost because multiple UAVs will be interfered with each other. And also the UAV positioning is affected to interference. Then the people faces some inconvenience. So, the better placement and the Proper channel allocation is very essential to reduce the interference. According to them the people can reach the better coverage performance because it can reduce the interference.  So, the interference reduction has become  a challenged research topic for on demand deployment of UAVs.
